Day 33 – Negreira to Olveiroa

Cold Mornings, Hot Afternoons

My phone said it was 5C when I woke up. Hiking in shorts in 5C is a little chilly! I got all ready to go for 7am, when the hosts said their restaurant opened (and I could get a coffee). Apparently in Spanish, that means ~7:20.

It was nice walking this morning, through trees in the dark. Up on a ridge above the valley, looking down at the valley. Unsurprisingly, I ran into Fem at the first cafe (12km into the walk!). At that cafe, I was wished a Happy Thanksgiving by a fellow Canadian!

We did 33km today.

It was a long, hot afternoon. I took breaks and took it slow. Babying my shins. They only have to last a couple more days!!

The Albergue tonight is pleasant. The showers are nice. The town is really just a collection of Albergues. It is called ‘Olveiroa’.
